Biography: I am Omar Ahmed Mahmoud. I obtained my PhD in Ancient Near Eastern Civilizations, specializing in Ancient Languages, from the University of Lyon 2 - France in 2011. I had completed my Master's studies from the same university. I also obtained my BA and Postgraduate Diploma in Semitic Languages from the University of Aleppo in 1996. I have been working as a lecturer at Soran University - Faculty of Arts since 2013, and as head of the Department of Archaeology at the Scientific Research Center at the same university since 2019.
