Biography: Dr. Jamal I. Kakrasul is an Associate Professor and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Soran University in Kurdistan, Iraq. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas, USA, where his research focused on sustainable civil engineering infrastructures. With over a decade of academic and professional experience, Dr. Kakrasul has taught various courses ranging from sustainability in civil engineering to advanced engineering topics, and published dozens of research articles. In addition to his academic role, Dr. Kakrasul is actively involved in engineering consultancy and has contributed to numerous construction projects across the region. He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Kurdistan Engineers Syndicate, and the International Geosynthetic Society (IGS)
