Biography: I am a legal academic and university administrator, currently serving as Dean of the Faculty of Law, Political Science and Management at Soran University, a position I have held since 2021. In this role, I am responsible for leading the academic, administrative, and strategic development of the faculty, with a focus on enhancing teaching quality, supporting research activities, and strengthening institutional governance. My academic leadership experience at Soran University spans more than a decade. Prior to my appointment as Dean, I served as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law, Political Science and Management from 2015 to 2017. I also held the position of Head of the Department of Law from 2014 to 2015, where I oversaw departmental administration, curriculum development, and academic coordination. Earlier, I served as Coordinator of the Department of Law from 2013 to 2014, contributing to the organization and development of departmental academic activities. I obtained my PhD in Law from Soran University in 2021. I hold a Master’s degree in Oil and Gas Law (International Commercial and Financial Law) from the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Salahaddin University, Iraq. My academic and research interests include private law, oil and gas law, and legal studies, alongside higher-education leadership and academic administration.
