Biography: Through my deep understanding of social, economic, and sometimes political issues, both global and local, I utilize at least sixteen years of experience in urban planning and regional development, studying population characteristics (social, economic, and urban), and the role these characteristics play in shaping a diverse global landscape and their local repercussions. I employ statistical tools and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software in my research and in supervising students at various academic levels. I hold a PhD from the University of Mosul and have published over sixteen academic papers in local, regional, and international journals on diverse topics related to the social, economic, and natural environment of cities, as well as issues concerning waterborne diseases within urban centers, suburbs, and rural-urban peripheries. I currently work as an Assistant Professor at the University of Soran in the College of Education, Department of Geography.
